The perfect setting for a horse lover’s day, the shady and spacious Sanctuary VIP Tent presented a gracious and unimpeded view of each FEI and Intermediate teams as they entered and surged through the water and back to dry land for guests enjoying Southern hospitality at its best. Longtime client, and Live Oak International host, Chester Weber, joined The Sanctuary guests for the early part of the marathon, lending his observations and good humor among fans and friends before then thrilling them with a picture-perfect performance negotiating the ‘Think Outside the Box’ Water Hazard’s covered bridge and figure eight patterns.
The Sanctuary Equine Sports Therapy and Rehabilitation Center has been partnering with Live Oak International since 2011 to offer the best of the sporting life’s tradition of hospitality, opening its VIP client tent for coffee and donuts at 9:00 a.m. as the first teams greeted the course and then at lunch Sanctuary guests enjoyed a buffet of pulled pork, barbecued chicken and fresh salads, and a VIP Bar offering sweet tea, lemonade and other equestrian high spirits.
