Grabe said The Sanctuary is dedicated to assisting the FAEP, and often hosts meetings at their facility as well as wet labs for veterinary students. “We work actively with the FAEP and the Foot & Farrier Symposium was an excellent way for us to continue supporting them,” Grabe said. Ocala, FL (August 12, 2009) - The Sanctuary Equine Sports Therapy & Rehabilitation Center, one of the most comprehensive facilities of its kind in the world, is a strong supporter of the Florida Association of Equine Practitioners (FAEP) and recently took part in the FAEPÕs Second Annual Foot & Farrier Symposium. The Sanctuary set up a booth at the symposium, held in Orlando, to introduce veterinarians and farriers to their state-of-the-art facility.

“It was a great event with over 150 lameness experts from around the nation speaking at the symposium. We wanted to acquaint the experts, farriers and veterinarians who attended the symposium with The Sanctuary and what we can do to help their practices,” said Tom Grabe, The SanctuaryÕs Managing Partner. “The Sanctuary is a Trustee of the FAEP so we were really pleased to be part of the event”

Grabe added that The Sanctuary is committed to the healing, conditioning and well being of all equine athletes, and many of the practitioners attending the symposium visited The Sanctuary following the weekend. “We were able to introduce many new people to our facility and explain the inner workings of The Sanctuary, our state-of-the-art equipment and protocols that can help them better serve their clients,” Grabe added.

The Sanctuary, located on 30 acres in Ocala, features the most advanced conditioning and rehab equipment available in the world including an Equine Hyperbaric Chamber with box stall type freedom of movement while therapy is administered, as well as an Aqua Pacer Water Treadmill, the safest, most effective water treadmill available.

The center also features: a Cold Saltwater Leg Spa featuring 34 degree, highly salinated water for all types of leg therapy; an Equine Swimming Pool Ð a 110 foot long, 14 foot deep inline pool with therapeutic water; a 5/8 mile race track; two Eurocisers with therapeutic tracking surface - one under cover and one outdoors; Solariums; Temperature-controlled veterinary inspection area with semi-surgical lighting, and rubberized surfaces in most areas.
