Wellington, FL (April 20, 2010) Ð Lifeline, owned by 11-year-old Jane Brooks, captured the Low Hunter 2'6” Championship during the 11th week of the 2010 FTI Winter Equestrian Festival. Sponsored by The Sanctuary Equine Sports Therapy & Rehabilitation Center in Ocala, Lifeline and trainer Chris Payne also won the championship during the third week of the world-class show circuit.

“Lifeline is an unbelievable horse. We purchased him for Jane to show in the Children's Hunters and she wins a class or two on him every week,” said David Belford, who owns New Hope Farm in Cincinnati, Ohio, with Payne. “Lifeline has really earned his weight in gold. I couldn't ask for a better mentor than him, especially for an 11-year-old just coming off a pony.”

Belford added that he would describe the Hanoverian as very scopey. “We bought him in the fall. He had been competing in the Junior Hunters and had done very well. He will eventually be Jane's Junior Hunter,” Belford said.

Lifeline won a gift certificate from The Sanctuary, a world-class therapy and rehabilitation center in Ocala. “It is always exciting to see a horse return to the winner's circle as that shows consistency,” said Brenda McDuffee, General Manager of The Sanctuary. “We look forward to hearing more about Jane and Lifeline as their partnership progresses.”

The Sanctuary Equine Sports Therapy & Rehabilitation Center is dedicated to the healing, conditioning and well being of all equine athletes. “The Sanctuary features some of the most advanced conditioning and rehab equipment in the world,” McDuffee said. “Horses like Lifeline compete in a very physically demanding sport which means they often need extra attention to keep them competing at their peak.”

The Sanctuary is home to an Equine Hyperbaric Chamber with box stall type freedom of movement, as well as an Aqua Pacer Water Treadmill, the safest, most effective water treadmill available. The Sanctuary also features: a Cold Saltwater Leg Spa featuring 34 degree, highly salinated water for all types of leg therapy; an Equine Swimming Pool - a 110 foot long, 14 foot deep inline pool with therapeutic water; a 5/8 mile race track; two Eurocisers with therapeutic tracking surface - one under cover and one outdoors; Solariums; Temperature-controlled veterinary inspection area with semi-surgical lighting, and rubberized surfaces in most areas.
