Wellington, FL (May 7, 2010) - Kiran Sharma, of Cavalcade Stables in Fort Myers, Florida, rode her Dutch Warmblood mare Cor De La Brie to the championship in the Training Jumper division at the Winter Equestrian Festival's Spring 5 Show. The Sanctuary Equine Sports Therapy & Rehabilitation Center in Ocala sponsors the division, and Sharma and Cor De La Brie rode away a gift certificate to the world-class therapy and rehabilitation center.

Sharma's trainer, Michael Kalil, was pleased with his 17-year-old student's trips in the Training Jumper division. “Kiran and Cor De La Brie usually show in the Children's Jumpers but the mare had about a month off, so we started her back in the Training Jumpers," Kalil said. “Right before this show we got some exciting news when we learned that Cor De La Brie is in foal to a Grand Prix jumper."

Sharma has owned the 12-year-old mare for about one year and Kalil said they make a great team. “It was great that they won the championship in this division,” he said. "We are interested in using the Equine Hyperbaric Chamber at The Sanctuary for some of our horses."

Brenda McDuffee, General Manager of The Sanctuary congratulated Kiran and her mare on their win in the Sanctuary sponsored division. "How exciting to find out that this talented mare is in foal," McDuffee said.

The Sanctuary Equine Sports Therapy & Rehabilitation Center is a multi-million dollar facility dedicated to the healing, conditioning and well being of all equine athletes. "The Sanctuary features some of the most advanced conditioning and rehab equipment in the world," McDuffee said. "Jumpers compete in a very physically demanding sport which means they often need extra attention to keep them competing at their peak."

The Sanctuary's advanced conditioning and rehab equipment helps equine athletes in all disciplines stay fit, avoid injury, and recover faster and more completely from injuries they might experience when competing in intense and physically demanding sports. The Sanctuary is home to an Equine Hyperbaric Chamber with box stall type freedom of movement, as well as an Aqua Pacer Water Treadmill, the safest, most effective water treadmill available.

The Sanctuary also features: a Cold Saltwater Leg Spa featuring 34 degree, highly salinated water for all types of leg therapy; an Equine Swimming Pool - a 110 foot long, 14 foot deep inline pool with therapeutic water; a 5/8 mile race track; two Eurocisers with therapeutic tracking surface - one under cover and one outdoors; Solariums; Temperature-controlled veterinary inspection area with semi-surgical lighting, and rubberized surfaces in most areas.
