Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy

-Hyperbaric oxygen therapy increases the oxygen levels in the horses body 12-15 times the normal amount.
-The increased pressure causes the oxygen to dissolve into the plasma, which allows it to diffuse into the tissue better.
-This elevated oxygen saturation stimulates the turnover of cells, increases blood supply, kills bacteria, enhances the effects of antibiotics, reduces swelling, salvages damaged tissue and bone, stimulates collagen production and improves skin growth.

Aqua-Pacer Water Treatmill

- The Aqua Pacer above ground water treadmill allows the horse to exercise with minimum concussion and up to 50% buoyancy.
-The speed of the treadmill and the depth of the water are controlled, which allows the therapist to target a specific injury or problem.
-This therapy encourages full range of motion in joints and limbs.
-The treadmill requires the horse to move both sides of his body equally, promoting healing and strengthening in an injured or weakened area.
-The resistance of the water helps increase muscle strength.
-The hydrostatic pressure of the water reduces swelling and inflammation in the legs.
-The clear panel on the side of the machine allows the therapist to see all four legs, to assure that the desired results are being achieved.

Zamar-- cold and/or hot dry compression therapy

-Cold reduces swelling, pain, and heat through temperature and compression without wetting the incision-the belly pad can be placed directly over the incision area
- good for any injury where stitches are involved
-can be applied over medications or light dressing
